Canada-A Great Vacation Place To Stay!

Canada-A Great Vacation Place To Stay!

Recently I got back from a trip to Canada.  There was so much to do and I had a great time.  Today, I’m going to share my experience with you!  Maybe, one day you can take a trip yourself to visit Canada.  When you hear “Canada” the first thing that will probably come to your mind is, Toronto.  However, I did not visit Toronto, instead I visited other parts of Canada.  These parts I traveled to with my family was called Calgary and Banff.  This was my first time going there, and I was very excited.  We took a flight, and unfortunately, we had a 6 hour layover.

After the flight, we finally got to Canada!  On the first day after the traveling, we went hiking.  It was a short hike, and we took lots of pictures of the brilliant mountains.  On this Canada trip, we did LOTS of hiking.  We took one hike, which led us to two waterfalls.  These hikes were tiring, and it was very cold as we hiked.  When we got to the first waterfall, we got to go through a muddy, dark cave, and go directly next to the waterfall.  We took a few pictures, but it was very loud and wet in there.  We hiked even further to another waterfall, which was a little larger than the first one.  In Calgary and Banff, there were several, tall mountains.  But, if you were to visit Toronto, you will not get to witness any mountains.  The mountains were beautiful.  Some even still had snow on the peaks.  It was a little chilly during our trip to Canada, so we had to wear lots of layers.  Luckily, the first 2 days, the weather was nice and warm.

The next day, we went water rafting.  This was the most exciting part of the trip.  We went water rafting on the Kananaskis River.  Most of the rapids we rode were man-made except the first one.  When we went down the rapids we would get splashed and soaked.  My cousins in the front, got the most wet.  On one of the more dangerous rapids, my aunt and cousin fell off.  I was supposed to help my cousin, but I wasn’t strong enough, so our guide pulled both of them up.  They were cold, as the Kananaskis River gets fed glacier water.  It was a good thing we had to put on lots of gear for safety before we went water rafting!

We also got to go to Jasper.  Over there, we went on a sky walk.  The sky walk was a little scary, but still fun.  The sky walk is made from 6 thick pieces of glass, and was elevated very high.  Almost as high as the mountains!  We also got to go to the glaciers.  It was very cold, and we had to take a bus there.  We were allowed to drink the natural, fresh glacier water but I didn’t want to.  Throughout the trip, we did lots of small hikes.  On the last few days, we went to Lake Louise.  But since it was very cold, and they closed off the canoes, we decided to take a quick picture, then go back to our condo loft.  We stayed at several different Inns, and 2 condos.  My favorite was the first condo, because it had three floors, a kitchen, and a loft.  I also liked the other condo, it was very modern and had bunk beds.  I slept in the bunk beds with my other two cousins, while the boys slept in the loft, upstairs.  I had a great time when I went to Canada, and hopefully you visit these parts of Canada too!
