What If We Didn’t Have The Atmosphere?

Introduction

The atmosphere is on the outer layers of Earth. It protects us from the harmful UV rays coming from the Sun and asteroids crashing down. The atmosphere is actually very vital to humans, so there will be a lot of disadvantages.

What If We Didn’t Have The Atmosphere?

Okay, so I might as well get straight to it, what if the atmosphere disappeared. Okay, so first we wouldn’t hear anything, because the sound we hear are actually vibrations in the air. Since the atmosphere gives us air, there will be absolutley no sound! Also, we wouldn’t be able to live, so there’s that! There is actually still a way to survive, and that is wearing an oxygen mask and a pressure suit. Talk about survival! The sky would turn black, because there would be no particles or dust in the air to scatter the violet, purple, and blue rays coming from the Sun. Planes, birds, and other things that take flight would plunge to the ground, since they need air pressure to fly. All the water on our planet would start to boil, including oceans, rivers, and lakes. After a long time, the water will transform into ice. Then, the ice will evaporate into water vapor from the UV radiation. But, even longer than that, the solar radiation would break the water vapor into oxygen. And there’s also carbon dioxide coming from volcanoes and from geothermal vents. Then, that will create a new atmosphere. But, sadly, that would be a long time after the extinction of humans, and the atmosphere would be too thin to breathe anyway.

Conclusion

So, now that you’ve learned what would happen, you clearly would need the atmosphere in your entire life. I hope you enjoyed reading this and breathe normally! (˙ ͜ʟ˙ )
