Wedo 2.0 Lego Robotics
Robots will be our future, why not start building them now? With the Wedo 2.0 Lego Robotics set we actually can! Well, young children can anyway. I can’t think of a better way to get them interested in robotics and programming. That’s right, programming.
Since this set is meant for younger children, the programming is going to be very basic. They will just pick a button and place it in the correct spot. There will b forever loops, time settings, and even motion and color sensors. This will feel like a game to your kids!
In most lego sets you are given a paper manual which shows you how to build a certain structure step by step. They don’t provide you with a manual in the Wedo 2.0 Lego Robotics set. Instead they offer an iPad app! I personally like the app better than the paper manuals. You can zoom in on a certain spot, go back and forth between step easily, and you even save trees by not using paper!
What’s In The Box
This set has 280 pieces in it, which is a lot of pieces. This way you can make so many different robots that all do incredible things. Like the reel, the wobbler, etc. (don’t wanna spoil any for you). There are a countless number of robots that you can build.
Which translates to hours and hours of fun for you and your child. There are even mini “missions” that your children can do with the app. If you know anyone else that has the same kit, you can do a duo-bot, which will be bigger, better, and way more powerful than all of the ones you can make with a single set.
The Set costs $150.00…that’s a lot of money! So I would recommend getting a cheaper set first to see if your child actually likes robotics. Overall I would give this Wedo 2.0 Lego Robotics Set a big thumbs up. It is definitely my favorite lego kit so far. Put your imagination and skill to the test, and try it out!
