Washington Nationals Improvement Since Last Year

The Washington Nationals manager in 2015 Matt Williams did not bring the Nats ball club to the postseason because they had dropped consecutive games when there was only a few games left in the regular season. So in the East Division in the national league the New York Mets went into the post season. They also went to the world season and eventually lost to the Kansas City Royals.

Washington Nationals Improvement

In 2016 the owner Ted Lerner fired Matt Williams and called up Dusty Baker the Nat’s new manager. This year Baker is doing very well since they are first in the East Division and are shifting between 2-5 place overall. But Baker did trade a few people who were on the Nat’s roster including Denard Span, Ian Desmond, Yunel Escobar, Jordan Zimmermann, Doug Fister, Drew Storen. Some of these guys are doing very well this season and could have been a big help this season even though the Nats are doing very well.

Players who got traded from other teams to the Nats are also a big help this season like Daniel Murphy because his batting average is .351 which is second in the MLB, forth in the MLB in hits with 130, second in the MLB in doubles with 31, and second in MLB in slugging Pct with .619. I think the Nats will make the playoffs and possibly even go to the World Series with the Chicago Cubs who are currently first in the MLB.
