My Trip to Mexico, Cancun!

The Airport

The day before my trip, my family was packing like crazy. Mom was packing her clothes, my grandmother was packing her stuffImage result for dulles airport, and so was my dad. Although I was done packing, that didn’t mean I had no work to do. I still had to help pack. Then I went to sleep, at around 11:00 P.M. I had a dream about me flying on the plane, and the whole trip. My mom woke me up at 4:15 A.M, so then I changed brushed, and ate. My mom ordered an Uber to Dulles Airport, and when we got in the United terminal, (we were going on United Airlines as you guessed) what we saw surprised us. There was barely a line at all. So we did the Self Check-In and waited in a line with about 2 people in it. Then we walked to our gate, and got into the plane.

Riding On United

When we got into our seat, I did what I always do: open the window. I got on my iPad and waited for the flight to start moving. When I heard the engines revving, mom and I knew the plane would start moving toward the runway. It was about sunrise now, so I checked the time, to see that it was already 9:00 A.M. I saw a couple United Express’s, a Delta, Alaska Airlines, and 1 Southwest. WeImage result for united airlines rode towards the runway, and so suddenly, started moving at a high speed. My head jolted backward, as the plane took off above Washington DC. I took many pictures, until the ground was out of sight. Just then my ears started hurting. The pressure wasn’t too much, but I still took some gum. If you didn’t know, gum helps make the ear pain go away. We hit a couple patches of turbulence, but it wasn’t too harsh. We only fell down 2 or 3 feet. After about 2 and a half hours, I saw some land. I quickly told mom and my grandma (as they were the only ones in my row) and we took some pictures. Since Cancun is part of the Caribbean Sea, all the waters were green and turquoise. It was all beautiful. When it seemed like we landed, I barely felt anything at all. But I said when it SEEMED like we landed. So moments later, we were rolling down a bumpy runway, on a bridge over a highway.

Paradisus La Esmeralda

Once we got out of the airport, we got a private van to our hotel. The ride was about 20 minutes, and once we got there, it reminded me all about the Dominican Republic. It was so hot, that it felt like the air threatened to melt me! Once we got checked in, we got some lunch, and then Image result for paradisus la esmeralda suites pictureswent up to our room. Mom had booked the Family Concierge Junior Suite, but we requested for and upgrade to the Master Suite. It wasn’t available at the particular time though. The room was really nice. It had a porch, and on it there was a tub with jets! The bathroom looked like it came out of a luxury mansion too! The only downer was the TV. The colors were faded, and there were only a couple of channels. After the bags came, dad and I explored the resort. It was so nice. We checked out the Family Concierge pool, since we had a nice view of it. But what most impressed me was the beach. It was so clear, and we went in.

Sailing

When I woke up on the second day, I immediately went looking for my mom. I found her on the bed using her phone. I woke up dad, and since my grandma was already awake, we went down to Olio. That was the name of our breakfast place. Whenever I go on vacation, they always have a cereal called “Cocoa Krispies” and I love them. After breakfast, we all went to the room. I wanted to go to the pool right away, so mom put sunscreen on dad and I. We swam in the Family Concierge pool up until 11:00 A.M. Then all of us went to the beach, and my grandma sat on the chair watching. Dad and I went in the ocean, and we swam up to the line of buoys. Then I asked him when we would go parasailing, and he said to check the price. So I did with mom, and she asked the AquaWorld employees if it was included in Family Concierge. They said no, but sailing, kayaking, and surfing was included. So mom said we would do sailing, with me, her and dad. So we all got on the boat and we sailed to all the turquoise water we saw from the plane.

Water Polo

After that, we had lunch, and dad and I went back to the pool, while mom and grandma had to re-apply sunscreen. It took them a couple hours, but then they came. Mom told me not to go anywhere, because dad was going with mom. So I waited, and when dad came back, he told us we had gotten a new, bigger room! Then a guy came into the pool and gathered everyone up for water polo. I didn’t know what it was, but dad told me it was fun, and just like soccer. So I played, and we won the game!

ParasailingImage result for parasailing

The new room was very nice. It had 2 showers in one, and there was a jacuzzi both outside, and inside. Also, our butler was especially nice. He gave me fish food, and other nice things! But other than that, all the other days were the same. But 1 day mom had said that she would book parasailing for that day! So we got to the boat on a jet ski (it was really fun), and then the people on the boat got us strapped onto the parachute. The boat was really wobbly, and I almost fell off! But then, the boat started up. It started speeding away from shore… Dad and my feet lifted off the boat, and just like that, we were in the air. It felt as if I were flying. We were at least 70 feet above the water. Just as we started to drop, I knew we were going to land on the boat. But, I was wrong. Instead, we dipped our bodies into 3 meter deep water. Then we got back up into the air, and then started dropping again. This time I knew for sure that we were landing on the boat.

Leaving

On the last day, all of us were very sad. We left the hotel in an SUV with a T.V. The driver put on Kung Fu Panda. At least I had something to do during the ride. The Airport was very cold, but the plane made up for that. It was United again. The flight was comfy but long. We got back at 9:00 P.M, and the car ride took an hour. Finally we were home at 10:00. I missed it so much. Then, life pretty much went back to normal.
