What Does it do?
The Lenovo Smart Display is basically a Google Home with a screen. If you don’t know what a Google Home is, then click here, for an amazing blog by another author on Kidskud. To talk to Google, all you have to do is say, “Hey Google!” or “OK Google!” then say your message. For example, if you wanted a gooey chocolate cookie recipe, just say, “Hey/OK Google! Show me a gooey chocolate cookie recipe!” and the recipe will pop up. Also, when you set it up, the Display will ask you to use your pictures from Google Photos. This is because the device has to use pictures as a background. Additionally, the Display tells you the time, and the high and low of the day.
Games
Google Home has many games, but on the Lenovo, some of the games have changed, because there is now a visual for them. The most popular game, Lucky Trivia, has avatars for the person, and now two people can choose the same answer. There are also many more changes to the other games. Commands
When you have a question, you ask Google right? You would have to type it in, and look for all the answers, until you find the one that makes sense. But on the Lenovo Smart Display (or any Google Home device), you just have to say the wake up command, and then your question. Also, it will show the best answer, so you don’t have to look for what you want. The Smart Display is better than Google in this way.
Smart Display Versus Google Home
The Lenovo Smart Display is good in many ways. So is the normal Google Home. These are some pros and cons of the Display. Since the display has a screen, there is now a visual for everything. A visual for all the games, now if you watch the news, it has a video, you can watch videos in general, and so many other things. Also, it shows all your Google Photos pictures on the home screen. Basically, the screen makes everything amazing. There is only one con in the Smart display though, and it is that the AI doesn’t always understand you. The pros in the Google Home are, it’s more portable, with various colors. The cons are that it doesn’t have a screen, and again, the AI does not always understand.
