What is Kano?
Kano is a DIY computer kit. The computer is easy to use and fun to build. It comes with a Storybook (Instructions) , Stickers, Rechargeable Battery, Raspberry Pi 3, Sound Sensor, 10.1″ HD Screen, DIY Speaker, Keyboard, SD Card, HDMI Cables, Power Cables, Power Board, and a Screen Case. Once you put all of these together you get a real KANO computer!
Games & Challenges
Kano has many fun challenges and games. My personal favorite is a game called “Hack Minecraft”. In the game you use code to make all sorts of wacky creations in the game, Minecraft. During the challenge, the computer teaches what each block does and how to complete the challenge. There are other games such as, “Hack Pong”, “Make Snake”,”Story Mode”, Make Art, Kano Code, Scratch, and many many more.

Kano can teach you many interesting things such as JAVA code, Python and Basic Coding. There is more than 150+ hours of FUN challenges and games. Did you know that the Kano computer kit is based off of the creator of Judo “Kanō Jigorō?” This is because he was a dedicated teacher and loved coding and wanted to teach kids to code in a fun way. Due to this, the whole computer is like a dojo, you complete challenges and then earn badges, instead of belts. Another cool thing about Kano is that you can pair other Kano kits with the computer, those include “Pixel Kit” and “Motion Sensor Kit”
My overall experience of Kano
In my opinion I think that Kano is a great Computer/Toy. I truly think that Kano taught me a lot of things, and taught me much more about coding. I recommend Kano to anyone who likes to build and/or code!
