Best Birthday Party Themes!!!

I love birthday parties because they’re always a blast. Well, almost always. Nobody wants to have a birthday party that’s a downright flop. Some themes will never get outdated such as Mickey Mouse. But some do, take Frozen for example. The movie came out in November, 2013. It’s already getting old! These birthday party themes are totally my opinion. Some people may agree others may not. This is my advice for having a perfect party!

Birthday Party Ideas

Timeless Themes

Most people share a common interest and common disliking. Lion King gets a huge thumbs up, but Hannah Montana gets a not so huge thumbs up. But take into consideration that just because The Lion King was such a great movie that it will also be a great birthday theme. It could be a party, but it’s not a very popular option. If you like to be original, keep reading! One timeless theme that I bet everyone can agree on is a mix of a sport or hobby you enjoy and something you just love in general. For example I play tennis and I love paris  therefore I would have a tennis in paris themed party. But you know the saying, “all in or nothin”. The cake would probably look like this…

paris:tennis

Pretty cool right? I always think that it’s important to stay true to yourself when you are planning your b-day party. Most of my friends don’t like tennis as much as I do but that doesn’t stop me from having a party like this. There’s no point in having a party thrown for you when you don’t love it.

Awesome Activities

What’s a party without games? Some classic games are duck duck goose, piñata smash, and pin the tail on the donkey (modern version pin the memory chip on the robot…..I’m kidding). These are all great-ish, but they are all also missing a big wow factor. Add your own spin on it. Take the tennis in paris theme for example. Instead of pin the tail on the donkey you can have pin the ball on the racket. But for more fun you could do something like a blindfolded tennis match on your Xbox or Wii. If you’re having a pool party then play Keep it Dry …

  1. Give each player a dry object
  2. Each kid must swim from one end of the pool to the other without getting their object wet.
  3. The kid that finishes first and has the driest object wins.

That’s kinda hard to do in a pool. That’s also kinda the point! You want all of your party guests to go home with something new and cool. Not the same old game of Marco polo. Speaking of going home, that brings me to my next category… Party Favors

Perfectly Fun Party Favors

The one thing about birthday parties that you can let your creativity completely take control of are the party favors. Party favors have to match your theme. That’s a rule about parties that absolutely must be followed. For my imaginary Tennis in Paris party my party favors would be this…
sugarpova

Or something similar to that at least. For a pool party maybe a beach ball with you name on it. For a frozen themed party maybe a frozen themed ring. There are so many different ways to celebrate your special day. But whatever you do choose, make it special. Speaking of special, quick shout out to my dad. His birthday is today July 10th. Happy Birthday Appa!
