Almost everything about blog writing is super fun and easy. The pictures, content, and even the title. But the one thing that I always get stuck on is finding topics to write about. It’s the starting that’s always the hardest. After I get that first push I be rolling, and rolling, and rolling. Well, you get the point. I’ve gotten slightly better at fishing for topics but sometimes nothing bites. Fishing for real fish is easier! It’s funny because usually I get an idea for a topic when I’m writing another blog. Like right now I just got the idea to write about my fishing trip.
One thing you have to remember when choosing a topic is how much effort you are willing to put into it. If you’re really energized and in the mood to write, you should probably pick a topic that requires more time and effort. Whereas if you have a limited amount of time and a lack of energy, then pick an easier blog topic such as a book review or a miscellaneous blog. Sometimes when you’re really stuck the answer is usually right in front of you. Look around you. Maybe you bought a new game for your Xbox; you could write about that. You could even write about your favorite food and why you love it so much.
Remember that it’s always easier to write for yourself from your heart. Not to please someone else. Write about something you are passionate about. I believe in this blog. What are you passionate about?
