Do you like Dragons or myths? If you do then you should read The Secrets Of Hexbridge Castle. It is about a regular kid named Alfie. He has a boring life and he only has one friend in school named Amy. She is going to Thailand for the summer. He was officially going have the worst summer ever.
All of a sudden he gets a letter saying that a person had left a castle for him. The letter also said he was to go outside of his home at 11:30 pm when a chariot will pick them up. Alfie tells his dad about this and they decide to take the risk. At 11:30 strait the chariot came in front of their house. They hear a thumping sound and soon enough they reached their destination. They meet a mysterious lawyer. He offers them a castle near their cousin’s house.
One day Before Alfie moved into Hexbridge castle
They think about it at first but then they say yes. When Alfie and his Dad first see the castle they are amazed at how good of a condition it is in. All the lawyer has to say is that it has good protection. One day before Alfie moved into the castle they picked apples from their neighbor’s garden. In return they are going to give a gift to their neighbor. When they ring the doorbell nobody answers. When they go inside the house they find a frightening object. I won’t tell you what it is. You’ll have to find out about it in the book!
The day they come into the castle they have a Grand party they invite everyone in the village. On the day of the party Alfie invites everyone in the village. In the middle of the party Alfie hears noises from the library. He goes and finds his two sneaky principles sneaking around in the library. What were these principles doing? Were they just exploring the castle or finding a key to freedom. You’ll have to read the book to find out!
