Pohick Bay-cation

Pohick Bay was a wonderful experience for my family.

We went there on a camping trip and boy was it fun. But it could use some high speed wifi and 5 star room (tent) service. Just joking. But the showers could use an upgrade. It was just like any other camp site. Except for the fact that it was a million times better!

That’s because there was a waterpark there too! It was called Pirates Lagoon. It had a kids’ area that was a blast. But the “deep end” of the pool only went up to 4 feet. Not so deep if you ask me. They even had two huge waterslides. But before you get all excited let me warn you that both of them are extremely slow. I’m into  fast rides. The camp sites are pretty spacious and most of them have picnic tables which are especially convenient. Did you know that they also have a boating dock and boat rental? We were going to go there but decided to go to the waterpark instead.
