What is the Coronavirus?

The Coronavirus (also known as COVID 19) is a deadly disease that can make you sick and can also kill you. It is really easy to get the virus, and you should be very careful. You can get it by touching people who are sick or who have symptoms and then touching your face. You may even get it by being near someone who is sneezing or coughing.

What is the Flu?

The Flu (also known as Influenza) is an infectious disease that is caused by a virus and it also makes you sick and can also kill you. Like the Coronavirus, it is very easy to get the flu if you are not careful. You can get it by when someone is coughing or sneezing near you or touching an object that has been exposed to the flu.

  • runny or stuffy nose
  • muscle or body aches
  • headaches
  • tiredness
  • vomiting
  • diarrhea

Comparing the Flu and the Coronavirus:

Similarities:

  • They are both deadly and can kill you
  • If you get either of them, you can get really sick and feel awful. It is really easy to get both of these
  • You may have to go to the hospital if the Flu or the Coronavirus gets worse
  • Some of the symptoms are similar, like diarrhea, fever, tiredness, runny nose, and sore throat

Differences

  • The Flu has both a medicine and vaccine and the Coronavirus does not
  • The Coronavirus kills more people than the Flu
  • The Coronavirus is more severe than the Flu
  • Both of these have some different symptoms
  • You can easily recover from the Flu, but for the Coronavirus, we’re not too sure yet.

Tips on how to keep yourself safe from the Flu and the Coronavirus:

  • Maintain distance from people who are sneezing or coughing, 6 feet is a recommended distance
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Try to not touch your face
  • Avoid touching the same thing that a sick person is touching
  • Avoid touching people, especially people with symptoms or people who are sick
  • Try not to get exposed to people who have symptoms or people who are sick

 

            Now that you about these, keep yourself healthy and safe. If you do, then you will not get neither the Coronavirus nor the Flu!
