My family, close family friends, and I wanted to do something really special for this winter-break. We were going to go to a ski resort, but it was 70 degrees up in the Northeast. So then we settled on an indoor water park resort, Camel Back Resort. The Biggest indoor waterpark in the Northeast, and it was totally worth it.
First of all, I want to give a big round of applause to the waterpark’s ride, Venus Slyde Trap. It was a ride inspired by the Carnivorous plant, the venus fly trap. What I liked most about it was the sudden steep fall. I loved how right before the fall, the ride goes pitch black and water basically floods the raft! The most amazing part about this ride though was the fact that it had a six person limit in the raft. No seat belts or even seats! Even more terrifying, just how I like it. My friends and I must have gone on it at the very least, 10 times.
Another one of my favorite rides is the Storm Chaser. With all the ups and downs in this ride you feel like you’re suddenly airborne. This was a doubles ride and it felt like a roller coaster just without all the uncomfortable buckles.
I have 2 rides tied for third place. They’re the scariest rides in the entire waterpark. The Skydive Plummet and the Paradise Plunge. These ride’s are body slides, which makes it even scarier. You get into the top of the tube slide standing straight up, and then suddenly the glass bottom under your feet disappears. The next thing you know you’re zooming down the slide and then it’s over. The whole thing takes about 3-5 seconds, but it’s still totally worth it. I wouldn’t suggest these rides if you’re wearing either swim shorts or a two piece, (especially not a two-piece).
The other rides were great too, but these were just some of my favorites. I recommend this resort for any family vacation. For more info on the Camel Back Resort and the rides click here. (keep a look out for coupons… let’s just say it wasn’t the cheapest vacation).
