Brickfair
Hey guys I just wanted to talk to you about Brickfair, Va, (the first Brickfair occurred here). It’s over now but hey it’s every year (open Sat & Sun schedule and timing please see website next year and year after that, click here and here for more info). In fact its in other cities such as Birmingham, Al and Edison, and NJ it’s a huge convention, one of the largest in North America with Brickcon.
It includes non-lego stuff (cafe’s and putt putts they even have Lego sand traps) Claw Machines, Bouncy houses, and Lego Vendors. They have Mosaics, mixed things, contests, custom minifigures, technic/mindstorms, Bionicle/figures.
My Experience
I loved all the trains going around the airports and just basic plain old Lego. My favorite things were the USS Missouri and the GBC. The thing about Brick fair is uniting everyone under Lego which I think is one of the reasons why they wanted to do this. The public would be really, really happy.
Some of the vendors were Brickstuff, eclipseGrafx, Studsville. It’s at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA (4320 Chantilly ctr. 20151)
The People: People are friendly there, strict sometimes, and they help you with a nice time as well as the builds. Magazines are available, such as: Blocks and Brick Journal, and did I mention it’s one of the biggest Lego conventions in N. America! In conclusion, Brickfair is one of the largest Lego conventions on this planet and it has everything that the Lego fan needs, wants, and has. Thank You and Good day, evening, night.
Brickworld in Chicago is also one of the largest in NA thanks to A Lego Brickumentary standards
