Dan Gutman
Ever wondered who Dan Gutman is? Well, he’s the author who wrote the series My weird school and the Baseball Card Adventures. In fact the Baseball Card Adventures is the book I’m telling you about.
These stories, are all part of a series and they are about a kid named Joseph Stoshack (Stosh). He plays on a team called the Yellow Jackets and sadly enough he also has divorced parents. Joseph is really good at baseball and is very close to being the best.
Baseball Adventures
Even before he could walk he loved baseball and had collected many cards. Then one day when he was much older, he went to sleep holding a baseball card in his hand. As he slept he felt this tingling sensation and then suddenly he disappeared.
Joseph then found himself in the world of the professional MLB baseball players, he learned tactics from them and their lives. Since then he’s decided to go back in time and find out tactics and lives from other players in the 30’s,50’s, 60’s, etc.
In one book he almost gets killed and in another book he gets kidnapped. His life can be both thrilling and very very dangerous. His life is only normal when he’s not traveling. He lives in Louisville, KY home to the bat Louisville Slugger. He’s even on a travel team.
He has a friend named Flip Valentinetti who owns a baseball shop called Flip’s Fan Club.When Home Run Heaven, another card store, went out of business Flip stepped in.Flip, his parents, and a few other people knows he can time-travel like Back to the Future (I II III).
This book is really touching, dramatic, and it let’s you experience the life of a baseball player. Trust me on this one it’s a really excellent book and I recommend it to you sports fans and sci-fi fans everywhere.
