Pretty much everybody gets homework and then most of those people that get it don’t like homework. Well this article is going to give reasons whether we should have homework or if we shouldn’t have homework.
Why We Shouldn’t Have Homework
I think that kids shouldn’t get homework. A lot of kids have after school activities and then if you have homework that will take you even longer to do it. I have soccer practice three times a week. Then on top of that my homework usually takes me a while.
Even if you don’t have after school activities it will still be a problem. What if you don’t know one of the questions? How will you be able to solve it? What if they just ask their parents for answers and never actually learn anything from homework? What if they cheated? That is why I think we shouldn’t have homework.
Why We Should Get Homework
There are also some reasons why kids should have homework. One of the reasons is that if you don’t pay attention at school you won’t learn anything. If you know that you have homework then you will have to pay attention in school in order to complete your homework.
You will also have a review of that lesson to look back on at any time. So if you don’t understand something you can ask your teacher the next day. Having homework is also good because it helps you remember what you learned in school better.
There are a lot of good thing about homework and a lot of bad things about homework but personally I think we should not get homework. If kids don’t finish homework because of their activities you shouldn’t punish them. I’d would much rather do after school activities over homework. With after school activities you get exercise and we barely get any other than P.E. and recess.
This is just my opinion on homework as an elementary school student. Is homework really necessary? What do you think? Should we have homework or not?
